Contributors To The CPS Inch Up 0.99% In April – PenCom

The National Pension Commission (PenCom) has revealed that the total number of contributors to the CP scheme through the Pension Fund Administrators, PFAs, rose from 9,236,841 to 9,328,340in in April 2021.

1There was also a turnaround for pension fund assets as it recorded a rebound in March, thereby stepping up and out of the drop lane that characterised pension assets in January and February. Meanwhile, the figure has continued on the growth trajectory gaining over N50bn between March and April.

PenCom also stated that N8.32 tr had been invested in federal government’s securities out of the total N12.39tr. PenCom data also revealed that investment in federal government instruments such as government bonds gulped N7.45tr, investment;in treasury bills was N690.43bn; Agency bond, N13.01bn. Others are Sukuk bond, N 9.31bn, Green bond N79.81bn and investment in state government securities N117.21bn
